Typography

As previously mentioned in my moodboard post, I want the feel for the app to be soft and playful. I selected the Visby Round CF typeface because it achieves that well. It’s reasonably priced for commercial usage and it comes with a good variety of weights.

Type is one of the most common elements in most apps so I believe getting the feel that I wanted to achieve through the typeface is a huge win as it sets the tone for the rest of the application.

I’m using the minor third scale (measured with type-scale) with the app as it minifies the amount of scale difference between each level of the hierarchy.
